    Bonjour.

    Carmine Castellano, qui succéda au légendaire Vincenzo Torriani, a connu un premier "accouchement" tourmenté, un an à peine après sa prise de pouvoir.
    Voir le parcours, pour lequel il avait évité le maximum de fuites, étalé en intégralité dans les pages d'un autre quotidien sportif "rival" moins de huit jours avant la présentation ...

    Quel aurait été l'issue de ce Tour d'Italie au déroulé exceptionnel ?
    Comme pour le Tour de France 1977 ("les regrets sont éternels"), une simple vision de la carte du parcours officiel est révélatrice.

    Bonjour Pekkie.

    Giro 1994, de légende avec ces grandes étapes de haute montagne à l'"ancienne", et l'émergence de jeunes champions (Berzin, Pantani) qui mirent en échec Indurain mais aussi Bugno, Chiappucci, ou De Las Cuevas, favoris au départ de Bologne.

    Je logeais à Livigno. La manière dont Pantani avait planté Indurain (3'30 en 6,5 km !) sur le Santa Cristina ...

    J'avais oublié que la montée de Sestrières par Sauze di Cesana n'avait été gravie qu'une fois.
    Etonnant la montagne : la veille l'Agnello et l'Izoard avaient été gravis "plein soleil".
    J'ai vécu un phénomène inverse en juin 2002 à Arabba (1600m) : neige un matin, et 29° le lendemain à 13h au Falzarego (2105m) !
