    le col de tentes est un col situé sur les hauteurs de Gavarnie, situé a proximité du cirque de Gavarnie. Sur le plan sportif, ce col commence vraiment a Gavarnie car de Luz-st-sauveur à gavrnie,c'est du faux plat parfois exigeant.A partir de Gavarnie, la pente est raide avec des passage à 11-12% peu avant la station de ski de Gavarnie avec un beau revetement.Après la station,la route rétrecit et la pente est autour des 7,5%.Les paysages sont sublimes.à noter que ce col est plus haut que celui du Tourmalet (2208 m). svp,est ce que vous pouvez faire une étape qui arrive à ce col.

    Bonjour Laurent,

    Le col de Tentes est couramment utilisé ici, André en parlait ailleurs comme un rêve de Gouvenou pour un tour (un rêve, la réalité sera autre...)

    Sur ton moteur de recherche, en tapant "col de tentes velowire" ou "cirque de gavarnie velowire" tu vas forcément trouver quelques parcours.
    Je me souviens avoir tracé une courte étape depuis Bagnères de Bigorre avec le seul Tourmalet avant.

    Bonjour Laurent.

    Effectivement, Gouvenou en "reve" ...

    J'ai repris cette montée dans mes "cahiers", idem du Cirque de Troumouse voisin, et je vais y intégrer le Plateau de Saugé (moins haut en altitude, plus court, mais avec de belles rampes); dans des approches différentes (Viscos, Tourmalet, course de cote ou chrono).

    Le problème est l'enchainement avec ce faux-plat avant le village de Gavarnie (altitude 1357m).
    Il est donc préférable de réserver cette arrivée pour une étape de montagne du premier massif.

    Bonjour

    J'ajouterai modestement que le Col de Tentes est situé en plein coeur de la zone sensible du Parc National des Pyrénées, ce qui est sans doute la raison pour laquelle ce rêve reste à l'état de rêve (et risque de le rester un bon moment). Aucune chance, en l'état, d'y voir une arrivée du Tour de France.
