The Road World Championships are *the* major event organized annually by the International Cycling Union (UCI) to determine who will wear the iridescent jersey for an entire year. The first rainbow jerseys will be handed out in the solo event: the time trial, which will take place this Sunday, September 22, 2024 for elite women and men.

In this publication you'll find the detailed course of these time trials on an OpenStreetMap map, their profiles as well as the starting order and times. You'll also find the route of the mixed relay time trial.

The elite women's time trial course of the Road World Championships Zurich 2024

The elite women's course (which will be used identically in para-cycling [women B, women C4-5, men B, men C4-5 and men U23]), over a distance of 29.9 km, will start in Gossau before passing through Oetwil am See, Uetikon am See, before reaching the banks of the Zürichsee, which they then skirt via Herrliberg, Erlenbach, Küsnacht and Zollikon to the finish in Zurich at Sechseläutenplatz.

The course for the elite men's time trial at the Road World Championships Zurich 2024

The 46.1km course for the elite men will start in Oerlikon, from the open velodrome, the Offene Rennbahn Oerlikon, before heading towards Dübendorf and then Fällanden, skirting the Greifensee before joining the women's time trial course in Mönchaltorf, which they then follow via Oetwil am See, Uetikon am See, before reaching the banks of the Zürichsee, which they skirt via Herrliberg, Erlenbach, Küsnacht and Zollikon to the finish in Zurich on the Sechseläutenplatz.

The starting order and times for the Elite Men's Time Trial at the Road World Championships Zurich 2024.

The course for the mixed relay team time trial at the Road World Championships Zurich 2024

The course for the mixed relay time trial, a team time trial with a lap by the women who then hand over to the men who do the second lap, has a total distance of 53.7 km (twice 26.85 km), will start at Sechseläutenplatz in Zurich, and then pass through Hottingen, Hirslanden, Binz, Zollikerberg and Zumikon before approaching the Zürichsee and passing through Küsnacht and Zollikon before joining the road along the Zürichsee to the finish in Zurich at Sechseläutenplatz.

Once the women have completed this circuit, the men will do the same, and the result of the two sub-teams combined will be that of the country.
