As the stage heads south-east through the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park, via Dourdan and then towards the French Gatinais Regional Nature Park, they will find the Côte de Villeconin 60 kilometers after the last difficulty. These difficulties are not likely to prevent a sprinter from winning this stage, and in Puiseaux the sprinters will already be able to test themselves in the intermediate sprint. There are then just 50 kilometers to go to the finish in Montargis.

3/ Tuesday, March 5, 2024 - Auxerre > Auxerre - team time trial - 26.9 km
The 3rd stage of Paris-Nice 2024 takes the form of a team time trial, starting and finishing in Auxerre. As last year, the organizers of Paris-Nice have decided to depart from the classic rule of taking the joint time once a certain number of riders have crossed the line. Indeed, the regulations for Paris-Nice 2024 stipulate that the stage classification is based on the time taken by the first rider of a team to cross the finish line, whereas for the individual general classification the time of the first rider is applied for riders arriving together with that rider, and the actual time for latecomers. Latecomers arriving outside the time limit (30% of the winner's time) are eliminated. In 2023, this particularity of the rules had no particular effect, but in a team's strategy there may be a decision not to stay together as a team, if a rider's objective is to take the best possible time, if he can do better on his own than with the help of his team-mates.Teams start every 4 minutes, in reverse order of the team rankings at the end of stage 2, with the exception of the team of the leader of the overall individual rankings, which will start last.

The course is hilly, with two small difficulties, the second of which, the Côte de Jussy, will also be the site of the intermediate timing, at about the halfway point of the course, which from there returns to Auxerre.

4/ Wednesday, March 6, 2024 - Chalon-sur-Saône > Mont Brouilly - 183 km
Stage 4 of this 82nd edition of Paris-Nice begins to get tougher. Over the course of the stage, the riders will encounter no less than 5 difficulties of 2nd category and one of 1st category, before the final climb, again of 2nd category. The route is made up of several circuits, hence the display on the map in 3 shades of purple, to distinguish the different parts. First, the stage heads southwest after the start in Chalon-sur-Saône, to Mont-Saint-Vincent, where the riders climb the first difficulty, the Côte de Mont-Saint-Vincent. They then turn south-east as far as Cluny, before heading south-west again until they leave the Saône-et-Loire département.Shortly afterwards, they reach the Col de Boubon and head east towards Julienas, but fail to reach it as they turn west again to Vauxrenard, and its Côte de Vauxrenard. They then enter the first loop of this stage, which takes them through Fleurie, Lancié, Corcelles-en-Beaujolais, Villié-Morgon, before returning to the entry point of this loop, which will also be the climb to the Col de Durbize.
They then enter the second section on the map, drawn in a slightly darker purple, and soon arrive on the final circuit, through which they head for Mont Brouilly, where they cross the finish line for the first time. At Régnié-Durette, they contest the intermediate sprint, and shortly before returning to the start of the final circuit, they climb the 1st category Col du Fût d'Avenas - Les Chappes. On the second visit of this circuit, they will stop at the summit of Mont Brouilly, where a strong man will win the stage!

After a long descent, the road gradually rises again, before arriving at the foot of the Col de Peyruergue, which will be the first of a triptych of difficulties, along with the Côte de La Rochette-du-Buis and the Col de la Pigière.The riders then head for the finish in Sisteron, but a ten-kilometer mini-circuit without difficulties still awaits them before they cross the finish line of this 5th stage.

6/ Friday March 8, 2024 - Sisteron > La Colle-sur-Loup - 198.2 km
The 6th stage of Paris-Nice 2024 will be the only one to start from the previous day's finish city, in this case Sisteron. For the other stages, there is always a transfer that precedes, sometimes even a big transfer, especially as in recent years the move to Nice seems to be rushed more and more during the week.Once again, several difficulties await the riders during this stage. From Sisteron, they head south-east, and after just under 70 kilometers will have climbed the 2nd-category Col des Lèques, and a little further on, a duo of difficulties, the 2nd-category Col de Luens and the 3rd-category Côte de la Blachette.
There's then just 50 km or so of respite before the ascent of the 2nd-category Col de Gourdon and the passage through Gourdon, Châteauneuf-Grasse and Le Bar-sur-Loup, they arrive on the final circuit, which will first be covered from the south to the finish in La Colle-sur-Loup, before climbing the eponymous Côte de La Colle-sur-Loup and contesting the intermediate sprint at Tourrettes-sur-Loup, before rejoining the entry point of the circuit and continuing to the finish.
