The 176 riders from 22 teams taking part in the Tour de France 2024 were presented yesterday at Firenze 🇮🇹 (Florence). While ultra-favorite Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) was presented with a collector's jersey by Krys, the partner of the best young rider's white jersey, celebrating his 72 consecutive white jersey awards (out of 75 in total; Pogačar has won the young rider's classification 4 years in a row), other big names such as Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma | Lease a Bike), Primož Roglič (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe) were all there, as was Mark Cavendish (Astana Qazaqstan Team), who will be looking for his 35th Tour de France stage win, to overtake Eddy Merckx for the all-time record.

Below you'll find the complete list of starters for the Tour de France 2024, with their bib numbers, as well as the option of downloading the list.

Team Visma | Lease a Bike

Team Visma | Lease a Bike will be presenting itself with outgoing winner Jonas Vingegaard at the start, but he is only returning to competition on this occasion after a crash with serious consequences at the Tour of the Basque Country. His team also suffered a few setbacks, with riders ill or absent for other reasons, such as Sepp Kuss, who was replaced at the last minute by Bart Lemmen, who will be discovering the Tour de France for the first time, but who could nevertheless be a great help to the Danish outgoing race winner.

Soudal Quick-Step

After his victory in the Vuelta a España or Tour of Spain in 2022, some believe Remco Evenepoel is capable of winning the Tour de France. Remco is a strong rider, both in the mountains and against the clock, but in 2024 he's probably not yet ready to take overall victory in the Tour de France, unless everything goes wrong for his main rivals. Still, he'll be a rider to watch, if only for potential stage wins. He's discovering the Tour this year, and it's possible that he'll have a bright future in the Grande Boucle later on!

Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe

The BORA-hansgrohe team has changed its name to Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe for the Tour de France 2024, and this new sponsorship means new resources for the team.

Primož Roglič made the transfer from Jumbo-Visma (now Visma | Lease a Bike) to this team at the start of the year, in order to keep his chances of winning the Tour de France alive, something he no longer had the opportunity to do with the rise of Jonas Vingegaard in the Dutch team. The Slovenian will therefore try his luck... but against another Slovenian, a Dane and other candidates, he's certainly not going to have an easy time of it!
