After the Tour Down Under, won by Jhonatan Narvaez (UAE Team Emirates) ahead of Javier Romo (Movistar Team) and Finn Fisher-Black (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe), the international teams' Australian campaign concludes this Sunday with the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race 2025, preceded this Thursday by the Surf Coast Classic 2025.

Both races take place at the southernmost point of Australia (further east than the Tour Down Under, which takes place around Adelaide), near Melbourne and Geelong, Victoria. In this article, you'll find the course of both races on OpenStreetMap maps, the profile of each race, and the possibility to download the courses in Google Earth.

The Surf Coast Classic 2025 course

Although it is the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race that is the UCI WorldTour race giving rise to the publication of this article ... and the presence of international teams in Australia, the first race on the program after the Tour Down Under in Australia is the Surf Coast Classic 2025 on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

The 157-kilometer course runs between Lorne and Torquay, starting with a 10-kilometer climb towards Deans Marsh (the summit of which will be reached before arriving in the town). From Deans Marsh, riders head south-west through Barwon Downs and on to Forrest, before heading north again. After passing through Yeolene, they head east before heading north again from Bambra, and after Winchelsea South they continue northeast to Modewarre.

Then it's back to the coast for the finish in Torquay, which will probably be a sprint again, as it was last year when Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty) won the race.

Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race route

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, the last Australian race on the program will be the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race 2025, a 183.8 km UCI WorldTour race.

Starting from Geelong, the international peloton will take a long loop, first heading east to Curlewis before heading north to the coast, which they will then follow to Torquay, the finish of the Surf Coast Classic, then in the opposite direction of the final part of that race, before branching off to Paraparap and Moriac, then continuing north to Gnarwarre. They then turn east again to Highton, where they join the final circuit, which will be completed 3.5 times.

At the start of this circuit they will climb the Challambra Crescent before heading for the finish in Geelong, from where they will then complete the same circuit 3 more times.
