After today's Omloop Nieuwsblad 2025 (see the Omloop Nieuwsblad 2025 route), the opening weekend of the classics continues with Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne 2025 this Sunday. The start and finish of this race is still on the Kuurne side (Kortrijk to be precise for the start), but it no longer pushes as far as a passage on the Brussels side despite its name.

The Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne 2025 route is very similar to that of 2024, but at the 3rd climb and at the feed zone shortly after the 13th climb, the course is slightly different, as is the final circuit.

Let's take a closer look, with a map of the course in OpenStreetMap and downloadable in Google Earth, the route and profile of Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne 2025 and its list of starters.

After setting off from Courtrai (Kortrijk), the race quickly crosses the finish line in Kuurne, in the opposite direction to the final finish, then the actual start after 7 km of parade route before heading for the first climb of the day, the Tiegemberg (1400 m / 4%).

After passing through Oudenaarde, they then find 5 climbs in relatively quick succession, cobbled Volkegemberg (1000 m / 5.1%), then - after the feeding zone and a short loop through Brakel - Boembeek (1100 m / 4.8%) and then Bossenaarstraat (1300 m / 5.6%), Berg Ten Houte (1100 m / 6.2%), another feeding zone and La Houppe (1880 m / 4.8%).

Passing through Vloesberg, they then descend to the south, before turning west towards a series of 3 other climbs, Hameau des Papins (1200 m / 6.6%), Le Bourliquet (1300 m / 6.8%) and, after a feeding zone, the cobbled Mont Saint-Laurent (1300 m / 7.8%).

They then move on to Ronse and the final 4 climbs, Kruisberg (1400 m / 5.3%) on cobbles, Hotond (1200 m / 3.1%), Côte du Trieu (1260 m / 7%) and Kluisberg (1100 m / 6%), where a special bonus awaits whoever reaches the top of this thirteenth and final climb first.

Thereafter, the course becomes simpler and flatter, and it's not the cobbled section of the Beerbosstraat (500 m) that really bothers them. Passing close to the start in Kortrijk, they arrive on the final circuit, where they find a feeding zone on the first pass, before crossing the finish line, this time in the right direction, before making one more loop, ending in a final crossing of the finish line in Kuurne to battle it out for victory in this 77th edition of Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne! We'll know late this Sunday afternoon who will succeed Wout van Aert (Team Visma | Lease a Bike).
