The official participants list of Paris-Roubaix 2025 and the bib numbers
Saturday 12 April 2025 at 20h31
This Sunday, April 13, 175 riders will be at the start of Paris-Roubaix 2025, the 122nd edition of the Hell of the North, for 25 teams! With some very big names on the official start list, it promises to be a spectacle ... especially as nothing can be predicted in advance on Paris-Roubaix!
In this article, you'll find the official list of starters for Paris-Roubaix 2025 and their bib numbers, so that you can identify the different riders on the road and on the cobbles, even if dust, mud and sand will have taken their place on their faces and outfits as the race progresses!
The starting line-up for Paris-Roubaix 2025
25 teams will be lining up at the start of the queen of classics, including 18 UCI WorldTeams and 7 teams who have received an invitation from the organizer. Each of these teams has selected 7 riders, making a total of 175 riders at the start in Compiègne.
Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck), winner in 2023 and 2024, will this year share the status of arch-favorite with Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates XRG), who will be taking part in the professional edition of Paris-Roubaix for the first time and will also be the first defending champion of the Tour de France. These two will have competition, however, with Wout van Aert (Team Visma | Lease a Bike ; 2nd in 2022, 3rd in 2023), who is returning to Paris-Roubaix and has made no secret of his desire to add this Monument to his list of achievements. But also with Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek; 3rd in 2024) or riders like Filippo Ganna (INEOS Grenadiers; winner of Paris-Roubaix espoirs in 2016 and 6th in 2023) or Stefan Küng (Groupama-FDJ; 3rd in 2022, 5th in 2023 in 2024).
For Alpecin-Deceuninck, it's only natural that Mathieu van der Poel should be the team's leader. The Dutch rider is aiming for a 3rd consecutive victory in Paris-Roubaix, aiming to be added to the select list of Octave Lapize (1909, 1910 and 1911) and Francesco Moser (1978, 1979 and 1980).
Van der Poel will once again have the support of Jasper Philipsen, who finished 2nd in Mathieu van der Poel's two previous victories.

UAE Team Emirates XRG
Tadej Pogačar will be taking part in his first professional edition of Paris-Roubaix for UAE Team Emirates, and we all know how fit the Slovenian rider still is and how much he aims to win every race he takes part in.
The Slovenian is accompanied by two riders who have already achieved good results on Paris-Roubaix: Nils Polit (2nd in 2019) and Florian Vermeersch (2nd in 2021). Pogačar remains realistic, however, saying We can spend all day talking about tactics, but anything can happen on this race. It's very difficult to make predictions and draw up a plan. The legs will do the talking, but I think a lot of riders can win.

Team Visma | Lease a Bike
Wout van Aert and his Team Visma | Lease a Bike didn't have much success on the classics campaign this year. After two podium finishes (2nd in 2022 and 3rd in 2023) and no participation last year, Van Aert is realistic about the status of the favourites, mentioning Van der Poel and Pogačar, but adds: They've outdistanced us several times, but the Flandrian classics are more hilly than the terrain in northern France. I dream of winning Paris-Roubaix and that's why I'm here. It's true that on the Hell of the North, Van Aert probably has a better chance of beating his rivals than on the hills of the Belgian classics that preceded it.
