After Paris-Roubaix this weekend, we briefly return to Belgium for the Tour of Limburg 2025 (Ronde van Limburg), which takes place over 2 circuits, covering a distance of 176.8 km between Hasselt and Tongeren. Small among the classics, the Tour of Limburg is more suited to sprinters, even though it contains 4 different climbs that will be climbed a total of 9 times (the first circuit containing one climb is done twice, and the second circuit containing two climbs is done 3 times).

After setting off from Hasselt (initially with a loop around the city on the parade route), the riders head south-west before turning left towards Hoeselt, over the Glinberg, and then onto the first circuit via Kleine Spouwen, Waltwilder, Mopertingen and Grote Spouwen. This circuit begins with a 550 m cobbled section on the Maastrichterallee and ends on the Keiberg.

After the first ascent of this second climb of the day, the peloton turns left and then right to return to this circuit, while on the second passage they turn left before continuing straight on and then left at Rijkhoven before heading for Tongeren, where they cross the finish line for the first time before starting the first of three laps of the second circuit, which they complete in an anti-clockwise direction.

This circuit includes two climbs in a row, the Kolmontberg and the Zammelenberg, as well as two cobbled sectors, Manshoven over 1300 m and Op de Kriezel over 1550 m. The finish is in Tongeren.

The entry list for the Tour of Limburg 2025 includes, unsurprisingly, a number of sprinters, but not the outgoing winner Dylan Groenewegen. Instead, we find Edward Theuns (Lidl-Trek), Milan Fretin (Cofidis), Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) and Matteo Moschetti (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team), to mention just a few!
