The days go by ... and all seem the same in Belgium, with the usual string of classics. Today it’s the turn of the E3 Saxo Classic, which starts and finishes in Harelbeke (historically, the race was actually called the E3 Harelbeke). The rest of the schedule, of course, includes In Flanders Fields—From Middelkerke to Wevelgem — historically known as Gent-Wevelgem — this Sunday... before building up the excitement until the following Sunday for the Tour of Flanders!

In this article, you’ll find detailed information on the route of the 2026 E3 Saxo Classic, on an OpenStreetMap map and also available for download in Google Earth, the schedule, the profile, as well as the list of starters for the Belgian race.

The 2026 E3 Saxo Classic route on OpenStreetMap

The route of the 2026 E3 Saxo Classic has changed compared to 2025. After the start in Harelbeke, the race heads east along the upper (and blue) section of the route shown on the map below, passing through Waregem and heading toward Oudenaarde before reaching the first cobblestones and climbs (cobbled Beaucarnestraat [1.2 km], the Katteberg [750 m at 6% / max 11%] and the cobblestones of the Holleweg [1.5 km]). Following the cobblestones of the Paddestraat and a stretch through Zottegem, the route loops eastward, passing close to Geraardsbergen before entering the land of hills and cobblestones!

This will be a sequence featuring La Houppe (1,880 m at 4.8% / max 10%), Berg ten Stene (1,300 m at 5.2% / max 9%) — and this is where the route shifts to the red section on the map — to reach, a little further on after passing through Renaix (Ronse), the climb up the Oude Kruisberg (800 m at 4.8% / max 9%), a return to Renaix and another stretch heading west before climbing back up to the Karnemelkbeekstraat, which has been renamed the "E3 COL" as it is the 5th but also the 15th climb on the route (1,530 m at 4.9% / max 18%) then a stretch through Berchem before heading back toward the course’s climbs. There they encounter Keuzelingsstraat - Oude Kwaremont, the Hotondberg (1,200 m at 4% / max 8%), and a little further on, after passing through Zulzeke and near Nukerke, Kortekeer (1,000 m at 6.4% / max 17%), the Taaienberg (700 m at 6.3% / max 16%), entirely cobbled, and—upon reaching the orange section of the course—after passing through Maarke-Kerkem and Schorisse, the Boigneberg (1,000 m at 5.2% / max 12.3%) and the Eikenberg (1,250 m at 6.2% / max 10%). Much further on, they then encounter the Kapelberg (750 m at 7.1% / max 14%), the Paterberg (400 m at 12.9% / max 20.3%), entirely cobbled, the Oude Kwaremont (2,200 m at 4% / max 11.6%), entirely cobbled, and, on the return to the red section of the race, the climb up the E3-COL Karnemelbeekstraat (1,530 m at 4.9% / max 18%), another pass through Berchem, and a little further on the Tiegemberg (750 m at 5.6% / max 9%), before returning to Harelbeke, where the finish will take place at the same location as the start, on Stasegemsesteenweg.
