Celio, a French men's clothes shop (also present in some other countries) recently introduced something new and the thing they introduced might seem as surprising to you as it was to me when I first read about it ... I'll try to explain you here what it is.
Celio realised that "we men" very often get guidance from women when choosing clothes. Based on this information - or maybe just because it'll make it even easier for us ;-)?! (research has shown that 50% of the customers in the Celio store are women buying clothes for their husband - Celio now offers a new service: the Shoppenboys.
The Shoppenboys are men of different ages and different physiques who lend their body to shopping women to be a living model who can try clothes. The idea is simple and ridiculous at the same time: when the woman enters the store she chooses from the waiting Shoppenboys, wearing only a boxershort, the man who has a physique and size as close as possible to those of the man she's shopping for. He than accompanies here in the store and tries any clothes she might want to buy.
Currently Celio has 17 Shoppenboys, between 19 and 63 years old and with sizes between S and XXL. Their first job was on May 13 in the Celio-store in Nice (see picture) and the following two dates are already planned in Paris on Saturday September 30 in the store Forum des Halles and on Saturday December 2 in the store Champs Elysées.
I can hardly imagine, but ... might you want to join the Shoppenboys, they're still looking for others ....
