A super chief cook for Katusha
Patrick Chassé has his eye on everything! While visiting the Katusha web site, the French journalist (cycling commentator on Eurosport France) is surprised by the role of press agent in the team. Indeed, on the "press agents" page of the web site we see ... the cook of Katusha Team! Indeed, apparently after having prepared dinner, it's possible in this team to work on press relations ... Well, we think it's a bit strange anyway!Something to fill up a musette
Now we're talking food, Matt Brammeier (HTC-Highroad) cannot take the cook of his team with him in the race and thus starts preparing his musette himself! You never know whether you get hungry during the race! Of course that's true, but ... what the Irish champion plans to put in his musette ... might be a bit big to take to a race! Matt, you know, energy bars might do as well!C'est qui le plus beau ?
The Quick Step team regrets not being the leader of the [[UCI Worldtour]] ranking but is happy to have Tom Boonen elected as the "prettiest rider of the peloton". Any top ranking is good!Steven Cozza, ecologist!
The rider of Team NetApp is going for green. Using a bike or an electric car? That's already has been for him! He prefered to go to the market riding nothing else than ... a pony! The only thing we're wondering is how much time it will take the riders to come to each of the races if they all opt for this new transportation ...CONTINUE READING AFTER THIS ADVERTISEMENT
Some air please!
Mountain stages are difficult for everyone. Whether you're a good climber or not. However, some riders have an additional problem with getting up a mountain. Take Alex Dowsett (Team Sky) who's complaining about the fact that there isn't any air left for him when he gets on top since the climbers have already used it when he arrives. Should we start a campaign to learn the peloton how to share rare resources?!His team mate Russel Downing has another problem in the air ... A professional cyclist spends quite a lot of time in the plane and they often take a low cost flight. Apparently, based on the comments from different riders lately, Ryanair seems to be causing them some trouble. Enough reason for Downing to suggest to rename the company in mickeymouse airways!
A new career in advertising for Ricco
Ricardo Ricco caused some noise again this week with his announcement that he would like to make his come back in professional cycling. We would actually prefer him to stay wide away from this sport and continue his career in advertising! Indeed, we saw Ricco appearing as the logo of a fruit juice brand ... well, that is for their "bullshit & cranberry" flavor!Paris-Roubaix can't be an excuse for everything!
One week after the race, people are still talking about Paris-Roubaix ... Daniel Oss (Liquigas-Cannondale) is actually planning to use it as an excuse to justify being on the phone while driving: dangerous driving? The police must never have done Paris-Roubaix yet! Not sure they'll accept that as an excuse! That's that, those were the Tweets of the week!
