1/ Saturday 22 February 2014 - Le Cannet des Maures > La Croix Valmer - 151 km

The first stage on Saturday will start in Le Cannet des Maures, on the Place de la Libération.

After the kilometer 0 at the Château Reillane, the peloton will go north towards Vidauban and then onto Lorgues where the riders will battle for the first intermediate sprint, in front of the cinema.

On the way back to the stage start in Le Cannet des Maures, the race route is slightly different compared to the same stage last year since it won't cut off via the D17 this time but continue to the crossing with the D84 where the riders will turn towards Le Thoronet. Once they get back at kilometer 0, the riders will not continue north towards Vidauban but go directly south towards La Garde Freinet where they'll get on the summit of the first difficulty of the day, of the 3rd category, and which will quite rapidly be followed by the feeding zone in La Bergerie.

They'll continue towards Le Plan-de-la-Tour and down to Sainte-Maxime. That's where they'll find the 2nd intermediate sprint of this stage, just before they cross the bridge.
The riders will then go on towards Grimaud where they'll climb the second King of the Mountains climb of the day, of the 2nd category.

After a short loop around Grimaud, they'll shortly get back on the same route as the one which they used to get onto this climb, in the opposite direction and from which they'll turn right -this year via the Route de la Mort du Luc- towards the Col de Gassin, also of the 2nd category.

When they continue the descent towards the sea, they'll arrive in La Croix-Valmer where they'll do a 6.1 kilometers long circuit almost 5 times. At the 5th crossing of the finish line in front of Le Forum we'll know the winner of the first stage of the Tour du Haut Var-Matin 2014 and thus the name of the first rider to wear the leader's jersey of the general classification.

2/ Sunday 23 February 2014 - Draguignan > Draguignan - 203.4 km

This second stage which starts and finishes in Draguignan will have a more important elevation profile.

The race route of this stage is quite different from last year. As a starter, the riders will leave Draguignan on the east side, and go up to Figanières and Montferrat. Via Bargemon and Seillans they'll continue towards the Col de Bourigaille, of the first category, the highest point of this race.

From there, they'll go on towards Fayence and Saint-Paul-en-Forêt where the riders will find the feeding zone and the intermediate sprint at the Domaine des Terres Blanches.

They'll go on towards the Mur de Montauroux, a short but pretty steep climb of 300 meters at 22%, which will however not count for the King of the Mountains classification, and they'll continue back to Tourrettes and Fayence where they'll climb the Mur de Tourrettes-Fayence, which doesn't count for the King of the Mountains classification either.

They'll do this same circuit 2 times more, before they go back to Draguignan. At the first crossing of the finish line, they'll battle for the 4th and last intermediate sprint of this stage.

When leaving the city on the north-east side, the riders will climb the Côte des Tuilières, of the 1st category. After the descent they'll go back to Draguignan, still from the south-east side and they'll again cross the finish line, this time for the stage victory, but also for the victory in this race since after two stages on these nice roads, the race will end here!

* since the time- and route schedules and the maps of this race, as provided by the organisor, are note very precise and sometimes seem to indicate conflicting information, there might be some slight differences between the race route on Google Maps (and thus the profile) and the real race route. If you plan to go see the race, you can of course use this map to know where you can go see it but I'd recommend you ask locally to make sure you're at the right place!
