The Coupe de France Look des Clubs
The Coupe de France Look des Clubs, created in 2006, is a competition composed of 7 races which creates a classification of the best amateur clubs in France (DN1, DN Espoirs and DN2).Each club sends 6 riders to these races, of whom 4 must be French and under 26. The 2 other riders can both be French or from a foreign country and there's no age restriction for these 2 riders.
This year the 7 following races compose the Coupe de France Look des Clubs:
> Grand Prix Saint Etienne Loire - 27 March 2010 - won by Dmitry Samokhvalov (Blois CAC 41)
> La Boucle de l'Artois (2 stages in line + 1 individual time trial) - 2 and 3 April 2010 - won by Evaldas Siskevicius (VC La Pomme Marseille)
> Grand Prix du Muguet-Vassivière (contre-la-montre individuel) - 1st of May 2010

After each of the races, the 30 first riders (the 20 first teams for the team time trial) gain points for an overall classification by club.

The Grand Prix du Muguet 2010 route
The Grand Prix du Muguet will take place on the Circuit Raymond Poulidor around the Lac de Vassivière in the Limousin area. This is a 23.5 km cycling circuit and the 3rd race of the Coupe de France Look des Clubs will follow 3/4th of this circuit. The Lac de Vassivière is not unknown in the cycling world because, as you can see on the website of the organiser, the Tour de France already had a time trial there in 1985, 1990 and 1995, while the Tour du Limousin organised several stage finishes there. With its start in front of the Maison de Vassivière in Auphelle and its finish not far from there at the viewpoint on the lake, the Grand Prix du Muguet proposes a 27.2 km long route.
