It was at the very last moment that Fabian Cancellara (Radioshack-Leopard) won the 111th edition of Paris-Roubaix last Sunday, beating in the sprint Sep Vanmarcke (Blanco Pro Cycling Team).

Before that, several breakaways animated the race which remained undecided for quite some time. Let's look back at the Hell of the North, 2013 edition!

The summary of Paris-Roubaix 2013 in video

As you might have read in the summary of Paris-Roubaix 2013, it all started with a first breakaway of 13 riders who were however taken back even before they got onto the first cobble stones section.

A new breakaway was formed with Stuart O'Grady (Orica-GreenEDGE), Matthew Hayman (Team Sky) and Gert Steegmans (Omega Pharma-QuickStep) and Clément Koretzky (Bretagne-Séché Environnement) who both were also in the first breakaway already.

Once a small peloton got back together, a four men strong breakaway was finally formed with Stijn Vandenbergh (Omega Pharma-QuickStep) and Sep Vanmarcke (Blanco Pro Cycling Team) when Fabian Cancellara (Radioshack-Leopard) and Zdenek Stybar (Omega Pharma-QuickStep) joined these two riders. The two riders of the Omega Pharma-QuickStep team lost contact with this group because of the bad luck they had in the Carrefour de l'Arbre section and Vanmarcke and Cancellara thus went on as a duo towards the finish in the Vélodrome in Roubaix.

What you might not have seen is the battle at the back of the race. To see this other side of the race you can watch the video of the Dutch TV, NOS, below:
