Leaving Leuven behind, it's back to Beersel for the start of the Flèche Brabançonne on Friday, April 18, 2025. A homecoming, since this is where the race began in its early days, even if the starting point has regularly changed and in recent years has been located in Leuven. The first half of the race will therefore be totally different from last year's, and will take place to the north-west of Beersel (south-west of Brussels), before moving on to the second half, which riders will recognize with the long straight to Overijse and then the local circuit of some twenty kilometers, which will be completed 3 more times after the first crossing of the finish line. So that's it (pretty much) over with the cobbles for this season, on the Flèche Brabançonne it's mainly the hills that are on the programme .... before the Amstel Gold Race on Sunday, which is closer to the Flèche Brabançonne, because the latter has moved from its usual Wednesday (taken over by the Tour of Limburg won by Milan Fretin (Cofidis)) to Friday.

The Flèche Brabançonne 2025 route on an OpenStreetMap map
After the start in Beersel, the riders head from the magnificent Provinciedomein towards Sint-Genesius-Rode, then quickly uphill towards Alsemberg and Linkebeek (black arrows), before returning via the Bruineput climb to the start. They then turn right (red arrows) towards Lennik, where they begin the return leg of this first loop. They then find the Beerselberg climb again, before returning via Bruineput to the start, this time to turn left and then right (instead of left) at Sint-Genesius-Rode (green arrows). They then return to the usual route, first climbing the Eigenbrakelsesteenweg, then the Chemin dit le Bois in Braine-l'Alleud, after which they can regain their strength in the feeding zone. On the long straight to Overijse, they find the Rue François Dubois climb, and shortly afterwards arrive on the final circuit. However, if the timetable is correct, its first passage is a little different from the next two. On the first run, they will go straight through on the south-east side of the circuit, whereas on the following runs they will pick up an additional cobbled Moskesstraat climb. On the first run, they will first find the Holstheide climb, then the famous S-Bocht Overijse, preceded by a feed zone and followed by the first run over the finish line. On the way back they'll find the cobbled ascent of Hertstraat. They'll then ride this circuit 3 more times before crossing the finish line for the last time in the Brusselsesteenweg at Overijse!
