Now that the Vuelta a España 2024 has come to an end with a well-deserved victory for Primož Roglič (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe), the very last part of the cycling season has begun. And that also means it's time for the European Championships road cycling.

In 2024, they take place from Wednesday September 11 to Sunday September 15 in Belgian Limburg (Flanders), starting with the individual time trial on Wednesday September 11. In this publication you'll find the course for this individual time trial, for elite men and women (U23 men and women as well as junior men ride the same course, while junior women remove part of the initial loop to reduce the distance to 13.3 km).
You'll also find the start lists for both elite women and men.

The program for the individual time trial day of the 2024 European Road Cycling Championships

Here is the program for the individual time trial day on Wednesday, September 11, 2024:

• 09:00-10:09 - junior women - 13.3 km
• 10:15 am-11:57 - junior men - 31.2 km
• 11:45 am-1:02 pm - U23 women - 31.2 km
• 1:15 pm-2:33 pm - men U23 - 31.2 km
• 3:00 pm-4:10 pm - elite women - 31.2 km
• 4:30 pm-5:38 pm - elite men - 31.2 km

The individual time trial course

The 31.2 km course will start from the recently opened Heusden-Zolder Velodrome in Limburg, Flanders, Belgium, and then move on to Circuit Zolder, where the race cars usually pass. In their individual race, the riders then head for Viversel, Boekt and Zolder, before continuing south through Halveweg, where they turn west, then south again through Stokrooie and Overdemer before arriving in Hasselt, where they cross the finish line after a near-loop that ends on the Koning Boudewijnlaan.
