This weekend, the World Championships Road Cycling will start in Richmond (Virginia) in the United States. After the team time trials (for brand teams) this weekend, the nation dedicated races will start with the individual time trials, which will take place for all categories on the same circuit except for the Elite Men who will have a dedicated circuit, followed by the races in line which will all use a single circuit.
In this article, you'll discover the different race routes on Google Maps/Google Earth and the profiles of the different races.
The programme of the World Championships Road Cycling 2015
The whole week, the environments of Richmond, in the state of Virginia, not far from the east coast, will thus receive these World Championships Road Cycling 2015, based on the following programme:- Sunday 20 September 2015:
- morning (11.30AM local time / 5.30PM Central European Time) : team time trial Elite Women - 38.8 km => race route
- afternoon (1.30PM local time / 7.30PM Central European Time) : team time trial Elite Men - 38.8 km => race route - Monday 21 September 2015:
- early morning (10AM local time / 4PM Central European Time) : individual time trial Women Junior - 15 km => race route (one lap on the circuit)
- late morning (11.30AM local time / 5.30PM Central European Time) : individual time trial Men U23 - 30 km => race route (2 laps on the circuit) - Tuesday 22 September 2015:
- morning (9.30AM local time / 3.30PM Central European Time) : individual time trial Men Junior - 30 km => race route (2 laps on the circuit)
- afternoon (1.30PM local time / 7.30PM Central European Time) : individual time trial Elite Women - 30 km => race route (2 laps on the circuit) - Wednesday 23 September 2015:

The team time trials
As usual now since several years (2012 to be more precise), the World Championships Road Cycling 2015 in Richmond will start with the team time trials.The race route of the team time trials for these World Championships Road Cycling are strictly identical for Men and Women, with a start in the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Lakeside, originally the Lakeside Wheel Club, a club created in 1895 for the cyclists of that time. Like all other races of these World Championships, the race route ends with a 300 meter climb on Governor Street in the center of Richmond followed by a left turn and 680 false flat till the finish at the crossing of East Broad Street and North 5th Street.

the individual time trials
From Monday till Wednesday we go on with the individual races to the click: the individual time trials for the participants per nation in the different categories of the World Championships 2015.individual time trial Women Junior / Men U23 / Men Junior / Elite Women - 15 / 30 km
The race route of the individual time trials is identical for the Women Junior, Men U23, Men Junior and Elite Women. It'll be a circuit of 15 kilometers starting in the North 3rd Street in the city center and the finish will be the same as for the team time trial (and all other races), at the crossing between the East Broad Street and North 5th Street. In-beween, each of the riders will find a quite technical race route, including for example a complete U-turn and another place where the race turns around using several turns and an access ramp at the other side of James River and after having visited of Belle Isle.
individual time trial Elite Men - 53 km
The race route of the individual time trial Men Elite is completely different and will start in the Kings Dominion Amusement Park. The riders will follow wide slightly hilly roads, before they get to the city center of Richmond where the race route becomes more technical with several turns, including the one after the final climb, towards the usual finish of all races this week.

The races in line
Starting on Friday, the races in line will take place. They'll all be on a circuit in the center of Richmond, in which we find three short climbs and a cobble stones section in the Libby Hill Park, at the south-east end of the circuit.This is a 16.2 kilometer long circuit, which will be done 4 times by the Women Junior (64.9 km), 10 times by the Men U23 (162.2 km), 8 times by the Men Junior and the Elite Women (129.6 km) and no less than 16 times by the Elite Men, for a total distance of 259.2 kilometers.

je sais que l'organise l'année prochaine le world tour féminin avec un contre la montre par équipe a vagarda en suede, j'aimerais bien y participer en tant que bénévole autour de l'équipe de France ou autres sécurité, ravitaillement, n'importe quoi lol c'est un reve d'ados et le cyclisme féminin me passionne depuis quelques temps la médiatisation commence a prendre bravo merçi de transmettre ma demande aux autoritées supérieures du cyclisme ps je n'ai aucune aucune experience ce ne serait que du bénévolat mais c'est important pour moi
