The road race course

The course, over a distance of 222.8 km for the elite men and 162 km for the elite women, will start from the brand-new Heusden-Zolder Velodrome in Limburg in Flanders, Belgium and then pass over Circuit de Zolder where more usually the race cars pass. They then head for Viversel, Boekt and Zolder, before continuing south through Halveweg, where they turn west, then south again through Stokrooie and Overdemer before arriving in Hasselt, where they cross the finish line for the first time, located on the Koning Boudewijnlaan, like all the finishes of these championships.

The elite women then complete an extra lap of the circuit around Hasselt and the elite men 3, before heading south via Kortessem and the cobbled section of Printhagendreef (500 m) before arriving on the Limbourg circuit via Borgloon, the Manshoven cobbled section (1300 m) and the Op de Kriezel cobbled section (1300 m), then via Oerle and, on the way up, the two climbs, Kolmontberg (800 m - 4.5% (max 6.5%)) and Zammelenberg (800 m - 4.3% (max 5.4%)). The elite men complete this circuit 3 times, the elite women 2 times, then return to the Hasselt circuit, which the elite men and women complete 1.5 times before crossing the finish line in Hasselt for the last time.

The number of times riders complete the Hasselt circuit (in red) and the Limburg circuit (in yellow) depends on their race category:
